Switching Infrastructure – Based on Broadsoft’s highly praised and stable solution, and is our core component to all the applications that we offer, providing such functions as Conferencing and Voicemail.

Session Border Controller - The Session Border Controller (SBC) is a firewall designed specifically for VoIP calls.  It enables address translation (NAT) of phones from within your end customer’s sites and protects the Switching Platform from exposure to the public internet.  All call media streams are connected at the SBC with the exception of same-site calls which stay on the local LAN.

PSTN Gateways - Interconnection between our platform and the PSTN is provided by several 3rd party PSTN gateways from multiple carriers.  These devices perform two functions: translation of signalling between the VoIP world (typically SIP) and the PSTN (typically SS7) and similar conversion of call media.
